Most Substack publications choose one lens. Strategy. Or leadership. Or AI itself. This publication looks through all of them, and further.

Written for every role in the boardroom, built on AIVaaS™, a methodology that places AI ambition at the centre of business strategy, not alongside it.

In the boardroom, every role sees its own part of the story.

The CEO sees direction. The CFO sees risk. The CMO sees the brand. The COO sees operations. The CHRO sees people. The CAIO sees AI. The CIO sees technology. And often, those who see something equally important are not in the room at all, among them the BA who sees the real needs, the PM who sees the implementation challenges ahead, and many others whose perspective never quite makes it to the table.

Everyone sees their piece. Rarely does anyone see the whole. And there is never enough time for that.

Outside, a transformative force is emerging. Not technological. Business. And it doesn’t wait for those who don’t have time.

That force is AI.

But force alone is not enough. It needs a proven methodology to become a transformative business asset. One that makes the AI investment worth making.

That methodology is AIVaaS™. This publication brings it to those who want to see the whole, and to those who already see it but know they haven’t yet extracted all its value.

Ana will show the way to both. That is why we begin with her story.

In the AI era, those in the boardroom and beyond face greater responsibilities than ever before.

I know this from my work. With CEOs I shaped strategy and navigated transformation. With CMOs on customer experience. With CAIOs and CIOs on AI, technology, and their business impact. With CHROs on employee experience. As PM and BA I stood where transformation actually lands. That is why I know the challenges every role carries.

As CEOs take direct ownership of AI and agentic orchestration begins reshaping how organizations work, every voice in the room matters more than ever. But even that is not enough.

Because nobody asks what Ana thinks.

🟠

That orange dot, first among the others in this publication’s logo, is the voice most often missing from the room where AI decisions are made. Not a data point with a loyalty score of 94. Ana thinks. Ana needs.

When you entered this publication, you threw the first stone. The first circle is yours. The second reaches Ana, and with her, everyone who should be thinking about her in that room. The third goes beyond, to the ecosystem, because Ana is no longer alone. She needs more than one organization and all its AI agents can provide.

That circle is still forming. In this publication, it will grow week by week.

Have you already found the water worth throwing your stone into? Even on Ana’s behalf?

Not sure yet if this is your room? → Find your seat

This time should be different. But will it really be?

You’ve probably thrown stones into water before.

An unfinished strategy. A transformation that lost momentum halfway through. Maybe it was ERP. Maybe CRM. Or even the first AI pilot that quietly disappeared into a drawer after six months. Every time, a promise of change. Every time, it ends up in IT. Every time, ambition shrinks. The circle weakens too soon. Disappointment remains

I saw it. I fixed the consequences. Instead of preventing them in time, because nobody asked in time. Fortunately there were others too, wiser ones, fewer of them, but still enough that I didn’t give up, didn’t stop.

And now a new hope. AI.

This is not a guarantee. It is a possibility.

And this publication wants to bring you to the lake into which it will truly be worth throwing your stone of hope.

The AI Value Boardroom operates across five dimensions and at least six role perspectives. You won’t find every dimension in every piece, but across all the pieces together, you will find the full picture that no single view can ever provide.

AI doesn’t exist in isolation. It encompasses the economy, customers and stakeholders, strategy, people and AI itself. This publication considers all five because AI value remains incomplete without any one of them.

AI fails when only one role decides. From CEO to BA, from CFO to CHRO, each role carries a specific need. This publication addresses every seat at the table with structured perspectives, frameworks and methodology grounded in AIVaaS™.

The writing shifts deliberately. Stories open the publication, establishing the human foundation. What follows becomes more business-focused: frameworks, assessments, practical architectures. Not because the author has changed, but because the transition from understanding the individual to preparing the organization requires a different register. Ana remains the anchor throughout.

Every piece delivers content anyone can read. Paid subscribers receive additional content, assessment tools, and specialized AI agents.

About the author

My work sits at the intersection of strategic vision and analytic precision, a strategic telescope that shows where the path leads, and an analytic microscope that shows exactly where things stand today. The discipline is knowing which to reach for first. The habit is using both.

The word that holds everything together is Value. Not as the final line of a business case, but as the question that shapes every decision from the beginning: value for whom, created how, and sustained by what. For the leader in the room. For the customer who is rarely in the room. For the colleague, the partner, the wider ecosystem. This is what the V in AIVaaS™ stands for. And it is what shapes both this methodology and this publication.

25+ years in business. I have sat in nearly every seat around the table, in IT, in project management and business analysis, as an entrepreneur and business model innovator, and for the past decade working directly with more than a hundred CEOs and board members. That breadth is what allows me to see the room as a whole, not just from one chair.

I am the founder of IIBA Slovenia and the creator of AIVaaS™, an approach that places AI at the centre of business strategy, designed to create different forms of value for different stakeholders simultaneously. It forms the backbone of the structured part of this publication.

As an executive lecturer at DOBA Faculty, teaching Digital Strategy, Digital Transformation and New Business Models, I am a practitioner who lectures, not a lecturer who once practised.

Three books mark the journey: Future-Proof Business Approaches: Make Your Organization Sustainably Competitive as co-author, Employee Experience: A Guide to Finding New Ways to Improve the Engagement of Your Employees as lead author, and 7 Key Questions for Every CEO as author.

The expertise behind them is grounded in programes at Cambridge Judge Business School and Columbia Business School, and deepened through certifications with CXO Transform and with Reinvention Academy under the guidance of Dr. Nadya Zhexembayeva.

The AI Value Boardroom is where all of this meets: every role that should be in the room, and the commitment that every circle of value it creates reaches further than the last.

An Invitation

Everyone is chasing AI value. Few know what it actually takes in the evolving intelligence economy.

This publication is an invitation to change that, with depth, with seriousness, with original perspectives and the AIVaaS™ methodology that respects the complexity of the room where AI decisions are truly made.

Every circle will be wider than the last.

The first one is yours.

Real AI value doesn't live in AI agents. Not even in orchestration. But where strategy, customers and AI meet, across every boardroom seat, the V in AIVaaS™ stands for Value.
